Our Rig at the Delta Bay Resort
California Delta

Fran 's summer job at the California Fruit Packing Company working for Morning Star Trucking as a peach truck dispatcher ended the first of October and we spent the rest of the month getting things ready for our 2001 Odyssey.

Our 2001 Odyssey officially began the first week of November at Delta Bay Marina in the California Delta near Rio Vista. We were there for an RV Club get together. We had a great time visiting and potlucking with about 25 of our fellow club members.

We would have headed south for warmer weather right from there except that Steven had to have a root canal before we left for the GTG and that required a follow-up appointment on Nov. 16. So we headed back toward Yuba City.

Since we recently became members of Thousand Trails we decided to spend the time before the dentist appointment up the hill at Lake of the Springs.

For Thanksgiving we were in Yuba City at Travelhome RV Park spending the holiday with family.

Monday Nov. 27 we headed south to Royal Oak Resort in Kingsburg, CA just for overnight. Then on to Lancaster, CA. where we will spent Christmas with Fran's #1 son and family.

We left Lancaster on January 23 heading for Quartzsite and ended up in Hope, Arizona about 30 miles east on hwy 60. We had a nice site at Ramblin Roads RV park and stayed there a month.

On the 25th of February we went to Yuma and stayed three days. We visited with friends and restock on stuff from Sams Club and the grocery store.

We moved over to the Pio Pico Thousand Trails preserve near San Diego, Ca. On February 28th. It's a nice park and we enjoyed our 10 days there even though the weather wasn't as good as it could have been.

While we were nearby we took a day trip to San Diego. We didn't do the tourist stuff. It's been many years since either of us has been there so we just drove around sight seeing. The highlight was visiting Cabrillio Monument at Point Loma.

On our way to Lancaster, CA we stayed overnight at the famous Slab City outside of Niland, CA.

Back to Mark's house in Lancaster, CA to watch the house and keep Buddy the dog while they and another family go on a ten day RV vacation to south east Arizona.

We stayed a week at Royal Oak Resort in Kingsburg then mooved north to the Thousand Trails preserve in Morgan Hill, CA for two weeks.

Back to Yuba City, CA for four day waiting until Sunday morning when we headed for Chico, CA and the Spring Escapade.

After the Escapade we went streight to Lake of the Springs (Thousand Trails) in Oregon House, CA for a get together with several RVClub.com members.

From L.O.T.S. we went to Woodson Bridge, CA for a week of wood carving with the Escapees Wood Carvers. Fran and I are both proud of our finished projects and it was a totally great way to end our 2001 Odyssey!

We're back in Yuba City for the summer now and Fran's Job will start about the middle of July.
